Don't panic! It's the Quirky Move It reminder!

Yep, you only have until Saturday to enter the fun Quirky challenge called I like to Move It! Your project must have something that moves, whether that is a tag you pull out, a shaker card, drawers, or something clever, lets MOVE IT!
I wanted to make this pop up card that I found the tutorial for on Split Coast Stampers, I used cakes and candles from the huge selection of images in the Birthday Fun set from our sponsor The Cutting Cafe, coloured with Promarkers and with stickles added to the icing. The chiffon polka dot ribbon allows you to still see the candles. The sentiment is all my own work, done in Pageplus. This card is supposed to lie flat when closed but mine won't despite extra sharpening the creasing.

Laying down, still not flat!

Then you pull up the tag which turns the card into a box base, neat or what? Inside the tag has a panicking monster from A Bunch of Monsters, and one of the great Keep Calm panels from Keep Calm - it's your birthday, also from our generous sponsor The Cutting Cafe.
I thought I had planned out the placement all perfectly, but when I pulled up the tag I realised I made an error with that big cake - the candles need to bend! So if I make another one I will either place the cake to one side of the tag, or swap the big cakes with the candles panel to create a double pop up, I need to try that now. I also think it would be nice to decorate the back of the tag, and maybe the back of the box that shows when popped up, leaving a space for a greeting on the bottom.
I think all in all I like this one and will make it again.
Now hop over to Quirky Crafts Challenges to see some more great examples and please let me know if you like this card.
I have entered the following challenges:
I love Promarkers - more than one image.
Papertake Weekly - anything goes. Tuesdays
