Such Quirky Fun!

Here is my second make for the Quirky Crafts reminder, and for this card I combined  Bugaboo images: Summertime Peekers  - swim, Beach Baby 2 and Beach Monkey Swim to create a scene that reminds me of watching children swimming in the sea this summer. I used some pale blue beach hut printed vellum behind the die cut scene, fixed with fish brads.

I also used glass ball gell medium for the sea foaming round the monkey, hard rock candy (got away with it on this image) on the sunglasses, and Cosmic Shimmer on the droplets round the girl, The scene is coloured with Promarkers and die cut with Spellbinders long rectangles and long scalloped rectangles.

Quirky reminder, we need a laugh!

I used Clara, and the funny sentiment which is a rubber stamp I have had for years and both are from our sponsor Crackerbox Palace. I cut a doorway with a Spellbinders arch die nested with the next size down, then stamped a Little Claire beach hut stamp (which is part of a set that has an inside view too) and die cut it with the arch die to fit. The images are coloured with Promarkers. I found some beach hut vellum and attached that with fish eyelets to the card blank and added some yellow glitter glue to the sand. I stamped and cut the sentiment into "I used to jog..." and "but the ice kept falling out of my glass" hahahahahaha! I hope it made you smile or even chuckle, and that is the challenge at Quirky Crafts - Make us Laugh - which runs until midday on the 9th November.

Here is Sooty giving me the starving dog trying to hypnotise me to drop some dinner look! Tonight we trimmed a very long nail which was causing him problems, it is impossible to do this alone, Shaun had to get him in a head lock while I trimmed the nail. I hope this solves a problem, but there are more nails that need doing!

More Valentine's cards.

A few more of the vellum Valentine's. I like this purple version but that is the only peice of the pretty ribbon.

Inside the cards are finished with a matching insert and a white heart to write on.

I used some embossed card blanks I had in the box with real flowers, this was a viola from my garden. I added a little chalk to the embossed parts for colour but I didn't seal it, so I hope it doesn't drop off.

This card features rosebuds, I don't remember if I bought or dried these.

Love is in the air

I stamped Stampendous musical hearts with Versafine and heat embossed them, and added them to this gorgeous embossed purple card, and I have used nearly all I have of this. The corners are punched with Kreaxions punch, and this is layered onto purple card which is edge punched with a Martha Stewart punch. This is mounted on a white card blank. The sentiment stamp is also heat embossed and is by PSX. Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, and brads are Papermania.

Same hearts this time stamped onto parchment card, the corner stamp is by Heidi Swapp, and I found this rose patterned vellum that I have had for ages, tore a corner to reveal the stamped sentiment and tucked a heart under it, added another on top and again Crafty Ribbons ribbon.
