WOYWW #231

It is time to go a snooping round other folk's work spaces at The Stamping Ground, now famous for this Wednesday event started by Julia Dunnit.
I don't know if you will believe me when I tell you that tidying is in progress, I decided I must have some space on this desk to create properly. I put the trimmer down under the desk to get out when I need it instead of leaving it permanently taking up space, and get it out when I need it which was a good theory which assumed there would be enough clear space to put it on the desk and use it! I use my trimmer a lot, and now it is balancing on top of "stuff" and doesn't perform that well on a seesaw!
Looking back at last week I think the desk actually looks tidier in one photo, oh dear. I have put away some of the new wood mounted stamps, and the ribbons, and stencils, I have run out of box space for the wood mounted stamps now and might have to buy another box, or try and part with some stamps!
On the left side, nearest to you, is a pile of stamp sets and stamps on mounts waiting to be put together then put away. There is a Slice cart I need to test so I can leave feedback - need a space hence the tidying! in the middle are three pairs of scissors out of my collection of ?? no idea, but a lot! and on the right side furthest from you next to the scissors a pile of Little Claire stamps and newsletters, I joined the club but haven't got round to using the stamps yet. Then there is a Really Useful Box full of bits of die cuts and images coloured in ready to go on cards but it has a pile of sheets of images to colour on top and they are under my Ideology alcohol inks caddy which was out to use the blender tool on my dictionary page - see the previous post. So that can go away and maybe it won't look so bad!
I am waiting for the dishwasher engineer to arrive, have been washing up by hand for over two weeks, and there is so much washing up! It took me several days of having to change after washing up to realise I needt to wear an apron, and the floor always looks flooded afterwards! The part should be fitted today and I won't have so much hand washing up to day. I am also waiting for a food delivery, my Riverford boxes, which came really early in the morning last week and I was hoping they would today so I could have yogurt for breakfast with my fruit, then I hoped he would be here before lunch so I could have some lovely salad - didn't happen! At least I am feeling a lot better, though I am still bunged up so I guess the virus got into my sinuses.

  1. I have a theory in my art room that if I get up from my craft desk and walk to the other side of the room which the door is on then I will put away at least one thing on the way out or over and one thing on the way back, it really helps me keep things in perspective. You could always try the push and shove method too and hope the goods don't hit the floor when you are pushing to create a creative space to play upon. this also used to work for me, until i adopted the former method of staying on track. Finally you could also go to bed and get heaps of rest and hopefully it will all look better tomorrow as tomorrow never comes. LOL

Happy crafting and Thanks for sharing.

    Happy WOYWW

  8. You're the winner...just saying that your desk is definitely busy...ready to go off on different tangents. How tedious...washing dishes. I hope it's all better soon. Be well Carole # 72

  9. Hi Cazzy - yep I think your desk does outdo mine :-) I've had a real tidy though today but think that was cos I didn't really want to start what I needed to. Thanks re the offer of help on my header. I know there are supposed to be words in the spaces but do you think I could get it to do it. Tried everything I know ( which I admit is not much :-) ) I obviously want to put Copper Beech Crafts in there. Also something about being Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Not too sure what else? If you can help would be great . Anne x #63

  11. That is a cool tin box over there. :) I have a habit of stacking things on top of things, and pretty soon something spills or I ruin a card by getting ink on it. But, when I clean, then I can't find what I want, because I moved it! LOL

  12. Wow that's alot of stash to play with and have fun finding all that stash to have a new home.

It's a shame you didn't get any trick or treaters I wouldn't have got any if I didn't sit on the porch to shell out candy :)

  16. My thought, is I clean only when I can't find things....then I know I have gone to far.

    Or, I clean between projects.

I think, a busy desk show's a persons who is very creative....

Have a wonderful week! oh and by the way, I would love to come play at your desk...I would be right at home!
