Quirky Spookiness

It is Lyn's challenge over at Quirky Crafts challenge blog and she set Something Spooky with an alternative recipe for those who don't do Halloween. I used the sponsor's (Limited Runs) images and I just love the cup cake images, was tempted to have the eyeballs cupcake but decided on Witch Splat at the last minute. The sentiments are free from Limited Runs, I used Hanging Pumpkin and Snake inside the card. I had some spider's web embossed gold card which I used for the base card, some spidery ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, eyelets from stash, boo and bat sequins, and some punched spiders. All images coloured with Promarkers and die cut with Nestabilities squares.

I didn't manage to make anything for my own challenge last time due to not feeling well which turned into a full blown migraine on the two days before the challenge when I planned to make my project. I tried to recover this and make it a week later but didn't finish it and then we were away on holiday. I will still make it and post it but not just yet. I had visited Exeter show on the Friday and a few goodies came home with me, then I was ill maybe due to the exertions and having to finish the journey in a tow truck when someone put the wrong fuel in the car!
As you see I got quite a lot of nice goodies including some unique to Crafty Ribbons Christmas ribbons, and I had a little chat with Ali, nice to meet you Ali. I wanted more sizes of the Nellie Snellen Christmas flower punch but they had sold out. I also got a couple of Really Useful boxes and some white stamping card, and white printing card from Anna Marie's which I am very pleased with, it was buy one get one free. The printed card is so much better than I was using and the ink doesn't go right through like the very thin stuff.

I might be able to give you some exciting news soon, just a couple of weeks to go.....

  1. ohoo look at all your lovely stuff!, I'm sooo jealous!!
and yes, the step card might be easy to cut out on the ecraft, it's only two cuts, then the folds, which would be a lot easier if I had one of them boards with lots of grooves,I've just got an old crafter's companion, which just folds 'normal' cards and boxes. (Lyn)
