Flippin Men card - toilet

Flippin Men card for my brother, not sure what the La Pashe stamp set is called now. It is a bit "cheeky" don't you think! My brother loved it. I coloured the images with Promarkers, die cut an apeture with Nestabilities large labels and the toilet "door". I mounted acetate in the apeture and cut out and fixed the images either side of it.
The hinges are die cut with a Quickutz die and fixed with brads. I added a magnetic catch to the card to keep the "door" together.

Quirky Crafts 2011: Challenge 7 - Twisted Easel and or Mother's day gift

This challenge was set by Diane, and it is to make a twisted easel card, or a Mother's day gift or both. I found it particularly challenging as I have never made an easel card before, and this is my second attempt. The train is still "wonky" the first was totally wrong and was trashed, this one will have to do!
I used a digital stamp called Train Tracks from our lovely sponsor - The Stamping Boutique, coloured with Promarkers and die cut with Quickutz Special Delivery dies, the card blanks was cut using this very useful set which I found at a bargain price on Ebay recently (brand new). I also used Nestabilities to cvut the two bigger circles behind the train and the greeting.
Good one Diane, got my brain going eventually though I think a third attempt would be better, if I can bear it!

Quirky Crafts Challenge time, sketch

The latest challenge over at Quirky Crafts is an easy sketch by Lyn.

Our sponsor this time is Stitchy Bear Stamps and I used Ole Gray Mare digi image on my card.
I love this image, it is so cute. I coloured it with Promarkers, cut it out with Nestabilities large rectangles and matted on a scalloped large rectangle. I used long rectangles to cut the patterned paper and scalloped mat, the sentiment is cut with the large rectangle set. The large orange rectangle is woodgrain textured, I think it is a bit too orange, maybe I should have tried to tone it down with some brown ink! I also think my card is too big for the rectangles however C6 was too small, so maybe I should have sized the image differently to get the proportions right.
